Steventon Choral Society

Choir celebrates its 45th birthday

Steventon Choral Society was formed on 27 February 1959. Forty-five years later, the choir is still going strong – presenting its 45th Anniversary Concert on Saturday 12 June 2004 in Steventon Village Hall.

On 26 February 2004, members celebrated the choir's 45th birthday with a glass of wine at a short informal get-together at the end of the weekly rehearsal. There was also a chance to look at some photos from the past. Founder member, Jack Jarvis, gave a short impromptu speech (complete with one of his jokes) as members toasted the choir's future and looked forward to many more years of singing in Steventon.
